01 — The Moment
Eight years ago, I was listening to a BBC Radio 4 programme unlike anything I had heard before. Descendants of famous people, most of whom had never spoken to the person they had lost, were having real time, two-way, live conversational interactions with them. The voices of the deceased had been contextually sliced, structured and delivered in real time by AI, responding to questions from the living.
A grandchild speaking to a grandfather they had never met. A daughter hearing her father answer something she had always wanted to ask.
This was years before ChatGPT. Before the world had a vocabulary for what AI could do. And yet here it was, presence reconstructed, access restored.
I wasn't consuming content. I was in the room.
That feeling, genuine and responsive personal access to the people who matter most, was not some distant possibility. It was where the world was heading. And nobody had yet built the right medium to deliver it.
That is what Deep Real exists to be.
02 — The Paradox
We are now living in the most connected period in human history. More content exists about the people and experiences that matter to us than at any point before. We can see our heroes everywhere, follow their lives in real time, and access their thoughts, their work, and their stories on demand.
And yet genuine access to them has never felt further away.
Reach is not intimacy. Visibility is not access. Watching is not being with someone.
The connected age gave us infinite content and in doing so systematically destroyed the conditions for genuine connection. The more followers an icon has, the less accessible they become. The more content exists about a world, the further away you are from being inside it.
Technology, for all it has delivered, conflated proximity with presence. It shows us through the window. It never puts us in the room.
03 — The Gap
That is not a feature gap. It is a structural one. No volume of content, no improvement in algorithms, and no advancement in recommendation technology will close it. Passive content cannot respond. It can only appear as though it might.
The connected age promised intimacy and delivered reach. The Intimacy Gap is what it left behind.
Generative AI has made this problem more acute, not less. When content can be produced in limitless quantities with no human hand behind it, the value of what is real rises in direct proportion. People are beginning to understand what they were actually searching for when they reached for more content. It was never volume. It was presence, the feeling of being genuinely met by another human being in an exchange that responds to them specifically.
Infinite content was never the destination.
04 — The Medium
We are building the first medium that makes interactive, authentic, and personal access possible at scale. Not a documentary, not a broadcast, and not a simulation.
Deep Real is a B2B2C platform that gives users direct access to the people and experiences they most want to reach. Not through more content about them, but through genuine, responsive presence with them. The Deep Real experience is the difference between watching someone on stage and sitting together with them in the room.
Authentic by design
Every word and every frame on our platform is real, nothing generated, nothing synthesized. Our technology matches what a user says or asks with the right piece of authentic pre-filmed content in real time. It cannot be hallucinated.
Built to scale
Because it runs on standard content delivery networks rather than generative inference, it scales globally at a fraction of the cost of AI alternatives. Expert-led navigation through a specific subject, person, or world, designed to take the user somewhere worth going.
05 — The Vision
Our first commercial focus is intellectual property franchise expansion, what we call The Unseen Stories. The world's great franchises have vast unexplored white space, and there is huge, untapped fan demand to explore these universes more deeply. Our first build is an interactive Sherlock Holmes experience, chosen deliberately as the proof-of-format we take to every major IP owner in the world. Entertainment and fan engagement are the entry points, not the endpoint.
The same technology applies wherever genuine human presence carries a value that simulation cannot replicate.
A cultural icon who wants to scale their persona without surrendering their authenticity. A faith leader whose words carry weight because they are their own. An educator whose students need to feel taught rather than simply lectured. A family that wants to preserve a loved one's presence before it is lost, not simply as a recording but as real content that can respond, engage, and feel like them, forever.
In every case, the underlying need is the same. Genuine access to the people and experiences that matter most.
That feeling is what Deep Real exists to deliver, to everyone, at scale.
